Meet Lana Wilkinson
What’s your greatest strength? I’m an empathetic person. I think it has helped me build, nurture and keep relationships both in my personal and professional life.
What’s one thing about you that would surprise most people? That I’m very down to earth and humble. I think people have a view or assumption that people who work in fashion are quite arrogant and superficial.
What’s your most treasured possession? My engagement/wedding ring and my pear shaped diamond ring that my husband got for me for my 40th birthday. They represent our life and the family we have built. I never take them off.
What’s your idea of absolute happiness? Being anywhere with my family. Time is a precious commodity.
If you could do any other job what would it be? I think it would still be helping people be their best version. I love strategising and I’m a marketer at heart, so perhaps a Talent Manager. Random, but I’m really good at negotiating for other people. I’m also a great ideas gal!
What travel experience is on your bucket list? To attend a red carpet event overseas either personally or styling a huge talent. I grew up watching the Academy Awards, Golden Globes etc. Might never happen but a girl can dream! I’d settle for my shoes been worn by someone attending an event like that.
How do you switch off? I train with a personal trainer and exercise three times a week.I think it’s important to priortise self care.
What’s your guilty pleasure? I stream shows like Law & Order SVU and Chicago PD after my family goes to bed. I like to switch off from my phone and relax. Admittedly, crime shows aren’t exactly sunshine and rainbows but it allows me to switch off from work.
Is it true you will never design a sneaker? Never say never. I’ve designed a loafer for Autumn/Winter 25 and I never thought I’d do that, BUT I feel like the LW customer is a glam girl. If I did do a sneaker it would have to be a little glam.
Quote you live by? One team, one dream.
Favourite Tully Lou piece? The Compression Active Pant with Wide Waistband is my go to pant to train in. It’s firm and so comfortable to train in.
